Whether you're looking to enhance your skills or gain life-saving knowledge, our professional healthcare team of nurses based in San Angelo, Texas, are ready to help you learn the skills of First Aid, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, and Stop the Bleed! to build your confidence. We are excited to offer options that meet the needs of your busy schedule. We have both in-person classroom courses and hybrid courses that allow learners to complete the course modules on-line on their own device with a convenient quick skills validation check.
The courses for non-medical providers are appropriate for learners that need certification for work or everyday life-saving purposes. Learners may be: parents, foster care parents, family members caring for loved ones at home, babysitters and childcare workers, members of a scout organization, sports coaches and sports sponsors, anyone providing care for others. Learners may also work in areas that require certification for work: electricity professionals, solar energy professionals, oil field professionals, teachers, professionals that work with sports activity organizations, summer camp staff, church youth leadership, and law enforcement and security professionals. Everyone is encouraged to complete certification to be ready to respond in an emergency. A pediatric-focused course is available for learners that require pediatric-focused instruction.
Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED is available in classroom for completion of course modules as a group with hands-on skills practice using manakins with a feedback device and first aid supplies. The course last approximately 3.5 to 4 hours and includes skills validation with the instructor. The classroom format allows for groups of learners to complete the steps of the course together. The learner will receive the course completion card at the end of class.
Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED is available in a hybrid format course. Learners will receive an email with the link to purchase and complete Part 1 (the online portion) of the course through the American Heart Association on their laptop or cell phone. The online modules do not need to be completed in one sitting and can be conveniently broken up into sections. The learner will need to bring the printed certificate of successful completion of Part 1 (the online portion) to be admitted into the 1 hour skills-only class to perform compressions and ventilations using a manakin with a feedback device and first aid items. The learner will receive the course completion card via email at the end of class. The skills-only session can be paid for at time of registration or at the time the learner attends the session.
Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens is available for classroom or online learning and is for anyone that may come in contact with another person’s blood. Learners include tattoo artists, med spa professionals, and anyone that would like to be prepared to respond to an emergency which may involve bleeding. A certificate will be provided for course completion.
Stop the Bleed! is available in classroom for learning with hands-on skills practice. Learners will receive a Stop the Bleed! personal kit to be ready to respond in an emergency. A certificate will be provided for course completion.
Payment is collected at the time of course registration by credit/debit card or can be paid at time of classroom course participation with cash, check, Apple Pay, or credit/debit card. Business entities may request to be invoiced by contacting HealthcareSTAT in advance and setting up a payment arrangement.

Heartsaver Total First Aid/CPR/AED
(Traditional Classroom) 3.5 - 4 hours to complete
The American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
This course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.
Pediatric Heartsaver First Aid/CPR/AED
(Traditional Classroom) 4 hours to complete
The Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED course trains participants how to respond to and manage illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This course reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) and the 2015 AHA/Red Cross Guidelines for First Aid.
The AHA Heartsaver Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED Course is designed for anyone involved in childcare who has a duty to respond to illnesses and injuries in a child or infant in the first few minutes until professional help arrives. This audience includes childcare workers, teachers, foster care workers, camp counselors, youth organizations, and coaches for children’s sports organizations. This course is also ideal for parents, grandparents, extended family, babysitters, and guardians.
Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens
(Traditional Classroom) 1 hour to complete
The Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens course teaches students how to protect themselves and others from being exposed to blood or blood-containing materials. This course is designed to meet Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) requirements for bloodborne pathogens training when paired with site-specific instruction. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
The AHA Heartsaver Bloodborne Pathogens Course is designed for anyone with a reasonable chance of coming into contact with bloodborne pathogens.

Stop The Bleed!
(Traditional Classroom) 1-1.5 hours to complete
Equipping students with essential knowledge to handle critical medical situations effectively and confidently. Get empowered with knowledge on controlling bleeding in emergencies. This course guides individuals through methods of bleeding control using video demonstrations and interactive learning. Join us for individual training or group training.
