Healthcare STAT Classes
For Medical Providers
Welcome to HealthcareSTAT, your resource for certification for Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS). Whether you are completing your initial certification or you are a seasoned professional, we are here to guide you through the process. We are excited to offer options that meet the needs of your busy schedule. We have both in-person classroom courses and hybrid courses that allow learners to complete the course modules on-line on their own device with a convenient quick skills validation check on a simulation station.
The courses for Medical Providers are appropriate for learners that need certification for work in a medical profession or school clinical purposes. Learners may be in any area of healthcare: physicians, dental surgeons and doctors of dentistry, optometrists, physical therapists, nurses, radiology professionals, speech therapists, occupational therapists, laboratory professionals, emergency response professionals and paramedics, medication aides, certified nursing assistants, dental technicians, and anyone that works in a medical facility providing care for others. Students in healthcare programs are encouraged to complete certification to be ready to respond in an emergency.
BLS is available in classroom for completion of course modules as a group with hands-on skills practice using manakins with a feedback device. The course last approximately 4 hours and includes a written test and skills validation with the instructor. The classroom format allows for groups of learners to complete the steps of the course together. The learner will receive the course completion card at the end of class.
BLS, ACLS, and PALS HeartCode Complete are a hybrid format courses. Learners will receive an email with the course modules to complete on their laptop or cell phone. The online modules do not need to be completed in one sitting and can be conveniently broken up into sections if needed. The online modules are adaptive learning modules and course completion time varies based on how students answer the content questions. Correct answers move through the course more quickly then if a learner needs to review the content and answer questions again. After completion of the online portion, the learner will meet with an instructor for a quick appointment to perform compressions and ventilations using a skills validation cart. The learner will receive the course completion card via email immediately.
Stop the Bleed! is available in classroom for learning with hands-on skills practice. Learners will receive a Stop the Bleed! personal kit to be ready to respond in an emergency.
Payment is collected at the time of course registration by credit/debit card or can be paid at time of classroom course participation with cash, check, Apple Pay, or credit/debit card. Business entities may request to be invoiced by contacting HealthcareSTAT in advance and setting up a payment arrangement.
